I DO have a Bold. The biggest problem I have with it is everyone wants it!
Here is a quick unprofessionally written review:
Casing: The Bold looks very professional and polished with a simulated leather battery cover that feels good and helps keep it from sliding around on the desk or in your hand. It has a metal ring around it that helps protect the sides and buttons and gives it a polished feel. the screen is a sealed unit that shows very little glare no matter the ambient light and will not get dust under it. (I do recommend getting a good cleaning cloth however).
Video: Videos are awesome. Colours are unbelievable, images are sharp and crisp. Playback is responsive. Audio is stereo (two side mounted speakers), loud and clear. With headphones it's even better. You would think you were watching on a portable DVD player.
Keyboard: The keyboard is full QWERTY, well spaced keys and shaped to assist your fingers in finding the right key and staying where needed. They feel good, especially after a bit of practice and do not have the feel of loose cheap plastic like the Curve. The main letters light up in a sharp white making typing in the dark quite easy for those of us who still hunt and peck.
Speed: The Bold is very fast in several areas. The processor is fast making for a very responsive operating system. There are no delays moving from program to program or between screens. The flow is very smooth and fast. You have the option of WiFi (a battery hog, turn off when not using), 3G or bluetooth.
Call Quality: whether on 3G or EDGE the call quality has been rock solid for me. In connection quality and sound quality, it has to be one of the best phones I have used. I have had 2 dropped calls in the past 3 weeks, both were dropped from the other side. (Note: on Rogers, your experience may vary).
Features: It has all the usual Blackberry shortcuts, excellent camera image (for a phone), full messaging capability but my favorite new feature is the clock. You can set it to automatically come on when you plug in the charger or place it into the charging dock. The screen will then stay on the clock. it also has a bedside mode that automatically dims the screen according to ambiant lighting and turns off the LED indicators. The browser still has a ways to go before you get the full desktop experiance but it feels generations ahead of the previous versions. The external memory is accessable from the side (no battery pull required) and there is about 1gig of onboard memory seperate from the operating memory for documents or media. Docs to go is built in giving you full access to Word documents, Excel sheets and power point presentations.
Did I forget anything?
