It came last week and it supports now sending memos via SMS. Great feature! :)

I am a new user to Action Pad and think it will be very useful. I have had many Palm organizers in the past and was using a Palm Treo before I purchased a Blackberry. I miss the ability to sort by moving the individual items up or down, not just locked in by the order input or alphabetically. I have also purchased yourTaskMaster program and set up many categories. The Action Pad forces me to use all all of those categories. Is there a way to delete certain categories from Action Pad, while having them remain in TaskMaster?
Thanks

I set the font in my BB9000 as CasualBB, with the rest of my apps it warks great, but when I use ActionPad and TaskMaster the font is very thin and it hurts my eyes because those programs doesn't put the font in bold mode. I asked for it previously.....!

ActionPad: The only advantage I see is that I can encrypt my memos. Would like to order my memos manually. Would like to have my own categories and not those created with NextAction!

TaskMaster: When you have a task that in NextAction is set as a project like p:homeSP and context=office and you edit within TaskMaster (like changing the title...) and then you save it, you are not going to find it anymore in the p:homeSP, only you can find it in the office context. So TaskMaster is changing all my organization..... and that I didn`t want..!

So please could you deliver a new version that permits the font to be bold?

Thanks,

I downloaded the application to my storm and when I tried to install it, I got a message that said the beta time expiredat 2009-06-30 and I should have received a new version by email already. But i didn't. I really want to try this application, what can I do?

Hi, I downloaded the app and I'm satisfied in using it, I can directly create a memo form a sms very quickly!
Just one thing I don't understand.... I enabled the encryption and encrypted a memo, created a password and then???? what do I have to do to read the memo??? I showed all symbols, even after typing the password, of course..... poor me, I had to get the memo from my pc (luckily I saved it!!!!)

Suggestions

1. in preferences, offer option to re-enter/confirm password for encryption -- to avoid risk of a typo
2. in preferences, offer option to auto-encrypt upon close, for documents that were encrypted, opened/viewed, rather than having to RE-ENCRYPT
3. remove the ability to save/alter/edit an encrypted document if the password is incorrect..if the password is incorrect..a message should appear and the document should close/options to save/encrypt should be UNAVAILABLE
4. tool? to view encrypted messages within outlok (PC)....how else can we edit these except on the BB? unless you could add option to decrypt upon sync?

--great work...
thanks

I think the problem with auto-encryption is: the program will actually need to store the password in plain text somewhere within the program. This might be serious security thread as hackers could just read the memory while you are using the application and so they can find out the password to decrypt all messages.

Don't get me wrong, I want the auto encryption as well :) But I think it is a really tough thing to make this convenient and still highly secure ... :|

Hi Peter,
ActionPad and NextAction and TaskMaster applications:

1) Would be great tha the ActionPad icon have a glowing effect, like most of BB icons do. Maybe you can turn the paper yellow or the pen red. With that effect you know you have highlighted the ActionPad application.
2) Maybe a bug! In the main list of notes, while Category shows "All Categories", I selected a note, open it, selected a category for that note and saved it. Then I found that a new category was created, the "null" category. Please chack this.
3) Would be great to order manually the notes. High, Normal and Low.
4) I would like to save my notes in a different category from those I defined in NextAction. But when I create it under ActionPad, it appears in NextAction as a new Context!! Confusing....!
5) There is a bit of confussion with the Context-Category if you use NextAction, TaskMaster and ActionPad! When I save a note it's reasonably to save it under a category, but if I use NextAction that category is a Context! And a Context is the place where the task is better done! The GTD makes you think all the time in Contexts, and for that NextAction is the perfect application!
6) The font. I set my BB9000 to CasualBB, 10, bold, but when using ActionPad or TaskMaster it shows a CasualBB very thin font that hurts my eyes. Why I can't use the font I set on my BB?
7) Why do I have to re-encrypt a note? Can ActionPad remember the crypt code?

At last, would be perfect to merge NextAction and TaskMaster in only one application. TaskMaster with Contexts and Projects (the way NextAction works) with all the stuff of TaskMaster. Would be a reall GTD application. It seems litle complex to use both apps at the same time......!
Thanks,
... and awaiting your reply
